We are keen to hear from an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational
Therapist wanting to work with SEN children and make a real impact in their
development. An outstanding specialist School and College are looking for an
Occupational Therapist to work with their students from ages 11 - 25. The
Occupational Therapist will be supporting children and young adults with
complex needs and diagnoses including ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and
mental health difficulties.
This SEN College will require the successful Occupational
Therapist to hold a recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current
registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as plan,
resource & prepare effective and engaging therapy programmes for pupils
across their secondary and post 16 division.
A key duty for the Occupational Therapist is to support the
assessment of pupils to determine those in need of additional occupational
therapy and if the individual is in need, to create interventions – referring
pupils for 1-1 or group interventions with either a direct or in-direct
approach. The successful Occupational Therapist will also plan, lead and
deliver whole-staff OT-specific training, according to individual
knowledge/experience.
