A great opportunity to join a SEN school as a Teaching Assistant in Croydon for
young people aged 11 to 19 years has become available. The school meets the requirements
of pupils with a range of needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health
(SEMH) requirements, speech, language, and communication difficulties. The
successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to work closely with the
students and to support them in and out of the classroom.
The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis and this will
require working with students one-to-one and in small groups to best manage
their behaviour and academic progress. The Ideal Teaching Assistant will
require prior experience in dealing with challenging behaviour and one to one
support. The Teaching Assistant position will be Monday to Friday during school
term time only and this specialist SEN school offers unrivalled opportunities. These
include a tailored induction, training and professional development programme
and an employee assistance programme.
Through education, the school supports young people to gain resilience and the
skills needed to thrive beyond education. The school’s attitude in helping young
people believe in themselves is extremely rewarding, knowing that they have the
confidence to be themselves and celebrate their uniqueness, inspiring the
brightest possible future.
