We are keen to hear from an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist wanting to work with SEN children and make a real impact in their development.

An outstanding specialist school for children with complex social, emotional and learning needs based in the Lewisham borough are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with their students from ages 5 to 16. This SEN school will require the successful Occupational Therapist to plan, resource & prepare effective and engaging therapy programmes for pupils as well as to plan, lead and deliver whole-staff OT-specific training, according to individual knowledge/experience.

A key duty for the Occupational Therapist is to support the assessment of pupils to determine those in need of additional occupational therapy and if the individual is in need, to create interventions – referring pupils for 1-1 or group interventions with either a direct or in-direct approach. The successful Occupational Therapist will also attend relevant meetings with fellow professionals, parents and pupils, including leading communication with families at parent/carer open days and team around the child/family (TAC/TAF) meetings.
