A SEN secondary school based in the Croydon area is seeking a Pastoral Officer to join their vibrant and dynamic team.  As a Pastoral Officer you will be expected to design and implement a behaviour policy tailored to the needs of each student that enforces positive behaviour.  You will be working alongside the Behaviour and Pastoral Support Officers, Behaviour Specialist and the Senior Leadership Team to help monitor the whole school behaviour through incident reporting (CPOMS) designing individual specific reports analysis.

As a Pastoral Officer you will also establish good relationships with the local authority and commissioning bodies to develop an outreach offer to specific behaviour support, as well as collect data on behaviour to analyse the use of physical intervention across the school. The ideal candidate will be MAYBO trained and deliver the programme to new staff to keep high standards throughout the school.

Pastoral Officer will liaise with the behaviour and support officers to provide guidance on their individual caseloads and attend EHCP annual reviews, child in need meetings etc. when requested. The ideal Pastoral Officer candidate will have a qualification in psychology to go had in hand with understanding student behaviour and to help ensure all students who join us behaviour needs are identified and have behaviour plans in place to aid a smooth start to school life.
