A pupil referral unit, with a dedicated team, located in the heart of Southwark are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to work with students who have challenging behaviour and SEN. This is a full time-long term role starting in September; therefore, the successful Teaching Assistant needs to be available Monday-Friday.

The chosen Teaching Assistant will need to be able to build trusting relationships with students to ensure they are comfortable and feel safe within your care. The Teaching Assistant picked for this role will be working 1:1 with students, helping them focus on class and ensuring they are staying on task. Students attending this school will either have challenging behaviour or SEN, therefore the Teaching Assistant will need strong behaviour management skills and good knowledge of SEN.

The schools main aim is to make sure the staff are enabling the students to flourish and grow in all aspects of their development; therefore, the Teaching Assistant will need to follow this aim to ensure the pupils are reaching their full potential.
