This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate SENCO to
work within an established SEN school in the Surrey area. This SEN
school is a unique provision following a therapeutic humanistic approach to
education and childhood development. The school aims to ensure that vulnerable
children stay within an educational setting or return from home education
before returning to mainstream or specialist provision as quickly as possible.
The school is built upon the vision and excellence of highly
skilled professionals with many years of experience in education and in
clinical environments. They offer their pupils access to a pathway that has capability
of extending throughout the academic year. As the SENCO you will help to
regularly review the balance between academic study and therapeutic support, in
order to meet the needs of each individual student.
The successful SENCO will be required to safeguard and
promote the welfare of children and follow school policies and the code of
conduct. The main responsibilities will include the development and operation
of the SEN policy, the coordination of the provision, maintenance of the SEND
register and analysis of pupil data.
