The Behaviour Mentor’s responsibilities will include working with special needs
children 1:1 or in small groups, in order to spotlight the individuality of
each student; assist other staff with day-to-day activities; support the
students on a behavioural, emotional and personal level; correspond with
specialists from external agencies; and lastly, engage in meetings with parents
and other members of staff.
The school is seeking a professional and charismatic
Behaviour Mentor with some prior experience with special needs children. A
passionate person with the ability to meet the aims and core values of the
school statement. The ideal Behaviour Mentor will need to be level-headed,
patient and adaptable in high stress or challenging situations. The successful
Behaviour Mentor should be able to meet the high expectations of the school and
will have to adapt their approach to each situation. Lastly, the Behaviour
Mentor will need to follow the ideals of the school which a focus on the
individuality, self-confidence, and incorporation of all students.
