This school is dedicated to meeting the vocational, behavioural, and
educational needs of each student, with the mission to adjust and apply
functional curricula necessary to meet the individual needs of their students.
The aim is to ensure vulnerable young people are accessing full time education
by focusing of their emotional progress.
Students at the school currently range from ages 11-19 and classrooms contain 6
– 8 students with student to staff ratios varying from 2:1 to 1:1. Students are
provided a balance of educational and vocational instruction while learning
communication strategies, integrating speech and occupational therapy methods,
participating in Affective Education, and engaging in community entanglement through
volunteer activities, service learning projects, and community outings. This
school provides a balanced curriculum to ensure that all students receive a
high quality and appropriate education and move seamlessly to the next stage of
their education and or career pathway such as key stage, college or
apprenticeship.
The ideal Learning Mentor will have previous SEN experience and be able to
adapt to the individual needs of each student. This vacancy
is full time from Monday to Friday during school term time only. The Learning
mentor position will be on a permanent contract directly with the school.
