A dynamic and developing SEN school for students aged 5-19
with severe learning difficulties/autistic spectrum disorder is looking for a
passionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team. Engaging with
students, participating in student behaviour programmes and being aware of
students IEP are some of the essential duties of a Learning Support Assistant for
this SEN school. The Learning Support Assistant will also be supporting a class
with complex autism, sensory and communication needs.
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will establish good
relationships with pupils, being aware of and responding appropriately to
individual needs and support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour and
reporting all difficulties. This Learning Support Assistant will also be aware
of and comply with the schools’ policies relating to child protection, safety
and confidentiality.
