This Secondary school provides an education for students
with various SEMH needs who found that mainstream education was a challenge. Their
bespoke curriculum provides pupils opportunities and pathways to achieve their academic
potential and help them succeed in their goals beyond education and even help
them return to mainstream education. As a result, Teaching Assistants can mould
the curriculum to fit every student’s individual needs and guide them on their paths
to success.
The school caters to key stages 3 and 4 students with
classes taking the “home room” approach to the classroom, where students are
taught by the same teacher and teaching assistant. As a result, classes contain
around 4-8 students to insure individual support. The Successful Teaching Assistant
will be supported by a supportive leadership team and the school has high expectations
for its students and are extremely committed to supporting their students.
