A great opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic school in Hackney on a permanent basis as a Learning Mentor, the school has a great track record for student progress and are seeking a Learning Mentor to help the school keep on track. 20% of the students at the school have a special educational need and you will be expected to mentor students of different abilities and backgrounds. The school is seeking a Learning Mentor that is willing to the extra mile in order to help students reach their full potential.

As a Learning Mentor, you will be expected to have prior experience with mentoring young people and showcase the ability to support students with learning difficulties on a one to one basis.
Learning Mentors at the school work closely with the pastoral team to best support students and to ensure that students have regular support to promote their progress academically as well as socially.
You will need to assess the learning needs of the students and set targets for IEP’s in line with the schools SEN Code of practice and the school policies.
